So here’s a little something that I learned about social media marketing from throwing parties.

My roommate gave me some constructive criticism about my video blogging. This is how I coped with it.
For some of us they were neighbors, for some of us they were imaginary. For this man, childhood friendships were about art — big bronze statues of artsy death action, that is.
This is an example of a video blog genre called the 5 x 5 Vignette. It consists in stringing together 5 shots that are 5 seconds long — hence the 5 x 5. With 5×5s, there’s usually some underlying theme that ties the five shots together — like a particularly day in the video blogger’s life.
What I like about this genre is it’s the video equivalent of what a weblog first started out as: an online diary of an individual’s life. Well, here’s my 5×5 weblog entry of a day out of my life from sometime last week when I used public transit to ride all over the city of Montreal. You can find more 5×5s from much more seasoned 5×5ers on the Vimeo FiveByFive Channel.
It all comes down to how economics influences user behavior and how consumers consume time.
